The best success factors are for those with dark hair and light skin. But, it also works for darker skin types as well. Unfortunately, laser hair removal does not work for blondes, light brown, light red hair, or white haired people.

There are risks involved with laser hair treatment. Always make sure to choose a medial professional who is trained, qualified and board certified in dermatology or a similar specialty. Hyperpigmentation – Usually this is a temporary darkening of the skin, but in rare cases may be long term and even permanent.

Hypopigmentation – Lightening of the skin, which is sometimes an issue for the darker skin folks doing laser hair removal.

Blisters and Scars – This is rare

Skin Texture Changes – This is rare

Crusting or Scabs – If this should occur it is usually temporary.

Hair changes. New hair growth may be finer and lighter in color. In some cases, new hair may grow in areas adjacent to the treated areas. This can be successfully treated with additional laser treatments.
